Being a fan of Rabindranath Tagore, I always wanted to visit Shanti Niketan. Visiting the abode of Rabindranath Tagore was an experience close to my heart. Watching the place I have read so much about was an altogether different experience.

A very beautiful city and a great trip. Though the driver was little late, the tour became a fabulous one. The stay at the hotels was great and the car was very comfortable. Really commendable job by Indiator.

The museum is interesting as it has a great collection. The place was calm, i spent a great soothing time there.

The temples are known as the Erotic temples due to the outside carvings, however, the sheer number of carvings is incredible. Most are in astounding condition and they are in a great situation. The guide gave heaps of captivating points of interest of the historical backdrop of the place.

Beware of the people outside the taj as everyone wants a piece of your money. Weather its taking photos for you, or showing you around the Taj. It's a must visit, and would highly recommend visiting. Will definitely be back when I have a stop over in Agra.

Lots of colorful old houses, the portuguese influence is visible. A good place for daylong excursion.
