This exclusive tour to Kerala is all set to give unforgettable experiences at major picturesque destinations. Step into this vibrant port city, Kochi and experience the rich cultural past of Kochi. A beautiful district located in the Western Ghats, Wayanad gives a sneak peek into lush green forests and wildlife.

Day 1: Arrive in Kochi + Heritage Walk and City Tour

After arrival in Cochin, our representative will meet you and you will be transferred to the hotel by an AC car. In the afternoon, the sightseeing tour of Cochin will begin.

Located in Kochi, Willingdon Island is the largest artificial man-made island is beautiful in its own way and is surrounded by beautiful backwaters of Kerala. A leisurely walk around the island gives a beautiful view of the place. Marine Drive, a beautiful spot & a popular tourist attraction in Kochi, is located along the edge of the backwaters and has various shopping malls & eating joints.

The next stop would be Bolgatty Palace, a palace built by the Dutch in India during 1744. Located in Bolgatty Island, the Palace is a beautiful island & resort and you will experience the nature’s beauty at its best.A visit to the Mattancherry Palace, built by the Portuguese in 1555, will take you the royal life of King of Kochi. You will witness the traditional floor made up of coconut shells, mural upstairs, beautifully decorated dining hills & royal temple. The oldest synagogue in Kochi, Paradesi Synagogue (Jewish house of prayer) is a major tourist attraction and has a collection of rare antiques, vintage chandeliers, tiles and other artifacts at the display.

Later we take you a heritage walk to places including Fort Kochi, St. Francis Church and Chinese Fishing Nets. Fort Kochi is unique in its own way with a history, you will find local fishermen catching the fish using Chinese fishing nets. The St. Francis Church is the oldest European church and you will be thrilled to see the beautiful architecture and the timber-framed roof.

After the heritage walk, you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 2: Kochi to Thekkady by road (148 Kms / 4 -5 Hrs) and Elephant Ride

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Thekkady in an AC vehicle. Before reaching Thekkady, stop for an elephant ride in the cardamom plantations and enjoy playing and washing the elephants. On arrival at Thekkady, check into the hotel and enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3: Spice Plantation Tour and visit Periyar National Park

After breakfast, leave for the Spice Plantation Tour accompanied by a guide. A spice plantation tour along the farms of Thekkady will give you the taste of spices, nature, and wildlife. Next, visit Periyar National Park, which is a protected area for elephants and tigers. It’s a beautiful wildlife sanctuary with thick evergreen forest and has a major species of animals. You can enjoy a ride at Periyar lake and relax overnight at the hotel in Thekkady.

Day 4: Periyar to Munnar by Road (95 Kms /approx. 3 Hrs)

After the breakfast, you will be transferred towards Munnar in an AC vehicle. On arrival, check into the hotel at Munnar. In the afternoon, we will leave for a guided trek over 7 km. After the trek, you will be able to see the beautiful view of Munnar. Return to the hotel and enjoy an overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 5: Eravikulam National Park and Munnar Sightseeing

After the breakfast, leave for the sightseeing tour of Munnar. Stop at Eravikulam National Park, which is the location of the endangered Nilgiri Thar. You will find species of rare animals, birds, and butterflies and offers a great view of rolling hills tea plantations. Visit the Tea Museum, located in Munnar has great historical significance and has many types of machinery, images, artifacts showcasing the journey of tea plantations. Next, visit Mettupetty Dam, which is surrounded by greenish valleys and beautiful still water.  Later visit Echo Point, which is located on the banks of the lake and the confluence of three mountain ranges, Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni, and Kundala. You can enjoy a walk around the Echo point and indulge in boating.

Day 6: Munnar to Palakkad (Vellinezhi) by Road (200 Kms / approx. 5 hours)

After the breakfast, you will be transferred to Velinezhi, a small village in Palakkad district of Kerala. On arrival in Velinezhi, On arrival, check-in at Olappamana Mana (homestay) and relax after the afternoon lunch. Experience the traditional Kerala culture at Olappamana Mana, visit the weaving center selling fine quality handloom fabrics. Interact with the local communities engaged in making Kathakali costumes. Witness the major ritualistic art form, Kalam Ezhutthi Pattu, also known as powder drawing. It is performed to worship gods, using the floor as the canvas accompanied by musical instruments, floral decorations, a priest and a singer. Indulge in an interactive cooking session and relax overnight at the homestay.

Day 7: Palakkad (Vellinnezhi) to Wayanad by Road (200 Kms / approx. 5 Hrs)

After breakfast, exchange goodbyes with the hosts and you will be driven towards Wayanad in AC vehicle. On arrival, check into the hotel and spend the afternoon admiring the surroundings of Western Ghats. Relax in the hotel in Wayanad.

Day 8: Wayanad Forest Trek and Bamboo Rafting

After the breakfast, we will head for the adventurous forest trek in jungles of Wayanad. Wayanad is famous for its lush green trail and the trekking areas are quite picturesque. Bamboo rafting in Pozuthana is an experience that is a must do and you will enjoy the greenery, the forest area, and the tea plantations. Sit back on the bamboo raft and float downstream and enjoy the bends of Vythiri River.

Day 9: Wayanad to Athirapally by Road via Thrissur

After the breakfast, we will drive towards Athirappally by car. En-route, visit Vadakkunathan temple, Thrissur district of Kerala will happen. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, it is an ancient Hindu temple and is built in Kerala architectural style & is surrounded by monument towers on all sides, called Kuttambalam. The next stop would be Punnathurkotta Elephant Camp, which is home to around 66 elephants and is one of the largest sanctuaries in the world. You can watch the elephants being washed, fed & elephants playing in the mud.

Day 10: Visit Athirappally Waterfalls

On arrival in Athirappally, check into the hotel and head towards Athirappally Waterfalls. Situated above the sea level on Chalakudy river, Athirappally waterfall is a beautiful sight and it is the largest waterfall in the state. You can enjoy the view of falls, falling down from 80 feet through several streams. Enjoy your overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 11: Athirappally to Kumarakom by Road (100 Kms / approx. 3 Hrs)

After the breakfast, you will be transferred to Kumarakom in an AC vehicle. On arrival in Kumarakom, check into the Heritage Villa located on the banks of Vembanad Lake. In the afternoon, visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, most popular bird watching spot which has many rare species of birds. You can enjoy the boat ride around the sanctuary. Relax overnight at the hotel.

Day 12: Backwater Cruise in Alleppey

After the breakfast, you will be transferred to a boat jetty at Alleppey to board a houseboat. Enjoy the ride through backwaters and get to see the life of the backwater villages. The route will include Pallathuruthy, Kanaitta, Kainakary, Nedamudy, Champakulam, Thakazhi, Kanjippadam and back to Pallathuruthy. You can indulge in canoeing through canals in backwaters. After canoeing, enjoy the meals and stay at the houseboat.

Day 13: Alleppey to Varkala by Road (100 Kms / 3 Hrs)

After breakfast, check out from the boat jetty and meet the driver and continue the journey towards Varkala. On arrival in Varkala, check into Quaint Resort located on the northern cliff. Spend the rest of the day at leisure and enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel in Varkala.

Day 14: Varkala

After breakfast at the hotel, spend the entire day at the Varkala beach. Relax at the beach; enjoy swimming and sunbathing at the beach. Varkala beach is also famous for Ayurvedic and Yoga treatments.

Day 15: Varkala – Trivandrum Airport by Road

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Trivandrum Airport to board the scheduled flight.
